In the middle of town is this efficient, busy spot serving classic bistro fare done extremely well. Think soupe a l'oignon, beef tartare, steak and frites, and an absolutely correct seasonal menu. Highest level of quality despite the apparent simplicity, attentive service, and the correct feel for such a place. Booking recommended.

Authentic French Bistro with Heart. Located right on the main street, this charming bistro offers classic French dishes that are exceptionally well executed. The service is warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Despite its central location, it’s far from a tourist trap—just honest, local flavors done right. A fantastic choice for an authentic French dining experience.

Best restaurant we've eaten at during our visit to France so far. We had the ribeye which was quite large and the pork shoulder which was a smaller serving size but tasted wonderful. The Paris Brest dessert was surprisingly good as well. The interior of the restaurant was very picturesque, and if you eat outside, you get to have a view of the Chateau de Amboise across the street. The servers knew English and were extremely welcoming and attentive.

Good restaurant just underneath the Royal Chateau. We got a seat quickly and had their menu of the day. Food was good quality and the waiters were lovely.

I don’t usually write reviews but we had the best experience here, having the escargots and burrata for starters, and the veal kidneys with baked potatoes and prawn risotto for mains. the creme brulee was fantastic. the staff were so welcoming (and funny!) and gave great recommendations for wine pairings.

Wonderful lunch at a comfortable bistro facing the chateau. Ordered the specials mozzarella salad and navarin of lamb. Delicious. All of the plates on the other tables looked good too. Friendly staff. My server, Dominique, decided to photo bomb my selfie. Nice one, Dom ! Hilarious. I will always come back here. Uh oh, late update. Decided to have dessert after all. A delicious meringue that eats like a pudding in a pool of pistachio cream. Inventive, delicious

Highly recommended. This is a fabulous small, dog friendly, restaurant with an excellent regular menu and specials board. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The staff are delightful and very knowledgeable about food and wine. We had their special of roasted shoulder of porc with very special pommes dauphine and for dessert we had the blueberry tarte - divine. Great food, wine and people: we'll be back!
